Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney was born in Beirut. Her name comes taken from the word'ml', which is Arabic that means "hope". Her family left Lebanon when she was two years old, during a time of civil conflict in Lebanon before settling in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin is a Lebanese Druze who hails from Baakline, a village within the Chouf District of the Alam al-Din dynasty. He received an MBA from Beirut's American University of Beirut. In 1991, he returned Lebanon in 1991[12][13] following his country's civil conflict. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. Her title was foreign editor of al-Hayat which is a Saudi-owned paper. She was the founder of the PR company International Communication Experts. This business is part of an even larger firm that specialises in the booking of celebrities, publicity photography and events. (17) Amal has three brothers with one sister (Tala) as well as two half brothers who were part of her father's previous marriage. Amal went to Dr Challoner High School (a girls grammar school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she went to University. Following her graduation at St Hugh's College in Oxford with an Exhibition Grant as well as the Shrigley Award, she studied at St Hugh's College. She was awarded a BA degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. In the following year, she attended New York University School of Law to pursue The Master of Laws (LL.M) degree. It was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award was awarded for her excelling in entertainment.
